The only thing missing is the one Pontif but Muslim-people have the whole family called Sauds, the shroud businessmen!
RashidRashid Samnakaynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3462242975774901312.post-36549725655977584312009-10-30T15:32:18.961-06:002009-10-30T15:32:18.961-06:00Pakistan is a country torn by a conflict between A...Pakistan is a country torn by a conflict between Americanisation and Saudi-isation, both of which are equally dangerous bringing nothing but destruction. Ironically, Saudi-isation of Pakistan is also taking place only because it is only the Saudi Islam that is acceptable to America. American thinkers seem to fear the Saudi vrsion of Islam most, and yet successive American governments have been the greatest supporters of Saudi system. It would be better for America, for Pakistan, in fact for the whole world if America leaves Pakistan to Pakistanese. There may be a period of great turmoil but ultimately Pakistan will come out of it.

Dr Javed JamilDr Javed Jamilnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3462242975774901312.post-66273459333357401542009-10-30T15:31:32.436-06:002009-10-30T15:31:32.436-06:00There is no clear demarcation between westernizati...There is no clear demarcation between westernization or easternization. It it the values of co-existence that matter the most.

Saudi values are exclusivist with least tolerance for another point of view.
Western societies though not perfect, has an allowance for it.

It has nothing to do with Islam, it is about the societies and how they are shaped.

Further more, we need to do the research to find out what germinates it.

It is convenient to blame Wahhabi ideology and naive to wash off our hands that the problem is solved. That is irresponsible thing to do unless we find the roots of the problem and bring about a lasting solution.

Please note that I will not defend the Wahhabis. I am more opposed to the exclusive ideology of Wahhabis than an average person. However, we need to learn to bark at the right tree. Place the responsibility where it belongs, so we can find real sustainable solutions.

We need to study, if there is a correlation between un-employment rate, injustice and how men behave with women, the easy target to amass a wrong sense of self worth is by preying on the weak. Isn't that an animal instinct, rather than a Wahhabi inspired attitude?

Thanks

Mike GhouseMike Ghousehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01647894600183489442noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3462242975774901312.post-65826454404271057072009-10-30T15:29:56.652-06:002009-10-30T15:29:56.652-06:00So westernization is Ok and welcomed but Saudiizat...So westernization is Ok and welcomed but Saudiization†(if there a such thing) is scornful - capri pants for Muslim women is delightful but hijab is unacceptable!!!
Bint WaleedBint Waleednoreply@blogger.com
